At Corner Vets our professional team of vets and nurses care passionately about animals and treat every patient as a sentient being. Every member of our team is hand selected for their compassion and ability to go above and beyond for our clients. They have the skills to provide a timely diagnosis and first-class veterinary treatment.
Ioana has been practising in the UK for 12 years and joined our friendly and experienced team at the Corner Veterinary Clinic in 2015.
Prior to this Ioana has worked in practice across London since 2007 treating pets with her advanced knowledge of medicine cases and soft tissue surgery. Ioana’s passion is internal medicine and surgery, leading to her currently studying to become a Certificate Holder in Small Animal Medicine. With her vast general practitioner knowledge over many years, this is quite an accolade!
Being an OV Practioner means Ioana is available to give advice and issue passports/export certificates to small animal companions wanting to travel.
In her spare time she loves trekking, reading, meeting her friends and baking cakes (to wind down after a busy day in theatre!). She has been living in Sutton for more than a decade with her family and rescue cat Yoko.
Ioana usually works Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Book your appointment to see wonderful Ioana.
Alice BVSc BSc MRCVS
Alice joined our brilliant London team in the summer of 2020 after qualifying 7 years ago with a distinction in Veterinary Science from Liverpool University. Having previously worked as a Senior Vet in a surgery regularly featuring on British TV, Alice’s vast first opinion surgery experience and gentle knowledgeable manner with the pets she treats has made her a hugely popular addition to our Team.
Alice excels in both internal medicine and soft tissue surgery and can often be found in theatre carrying out laparoscopic surgery when she’s working in our flagship hospital!
Away from our popular surgeries Alice loves to travel, sail, climb and wind down by listening to music.
Ourania BBSc DVM MRCVS
Although qualifying as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2019, Veterinary Medicine is only one of 2 degrees held by our London Vet Team Surgeon, Ourania. Known affectionately as Rania to her colleagues and clients, Rania was welcomed into our London Team in early 2021 bringing with her some excellent soft tissue and first opinion internal medicine skills from her time at a busy hospital in the UK so far.
Having solid general practitioner skills in ultrasound, dentistry, internal medicine and surgery, Rania is an excellent addition to our popular surgery team for those first opinion cases when your pet is unwell or requires a health check with a friendly and experienced veterinary surgeon.
Since joining our London Vet Team Rania is keen to develop her Laparoscopic surgery skills at our flagship hospital.
Away from the surgeries Rania enjoys team building events, socialising, public speaking and volunteering for charities.
Nic has worked as a Royal Veterinary Nurse helping sick pets across the south east of the country, including London and Hertfordshire. Her extensive ECC experience makes her a valued member of the team at Corner Veterinary Surgery.
In her spare time, Nic enjoys medical nursing, and weight clinics. What’s more: she has worked both in charities and the private sector, giving her all-round fantastic people skills.
Mary joined our team in 2020 after many years as a veterinary nurse in busy London surgeries. Bringing with her a wealth of care and service enthusiasm, Mary is excited to be completing her Veterinary Nursing Diploma with our Corner Vet Team.
Mary’s love for animals extends to caring at wildlife sanctuaries, charity hospitals and a zoo! Whilst a Vet Nursing Diploma is now in her sights, Mary also has a degree in Biology.
Away from the surgeries Mary has given a very loving home to pet geckos, fish and three crazy ginger cats.
We were delighted to welcome Jen to the team in October 2018. Jen joins us with a background of veterinary and management experience, previously responsible for the smooth running of two London surgeries.
Before entering the veterinary world, Jen was an integral part of the management team for two wildlife parks in Kent working for their overseas charity projects as well as the parks. Having previously worked in hospitality for several years, Jen has plenty of customer service experience and is passionate about delivering a stellar experience for pets and owners alike!
Jen is a massive animal lover and often borrows the surgery mascot Monty (a gorgeous Miniature Schnauzer) for a night of cuddles at home.
