Veterinary Surgeon

Ioana Cert AVP MRCVS

Ioana joined our friendly and experienced team at the Corner Veterinary Clinic in 2015.

Prior to this Ioana has worked in practice across London since 2007 treating pets with her advanced knowledge of medicine cases and soft tissue surgery. Ioana’s passion is internal medicine and surgery, leading to her currently studying to become a Certificate Holder in Small Animal Medicine. With her vast general practitioner knowledge over many years, this is quite an accolade!

Being an OV Practioner means Ioana is available to give advice and issue passports/export certificates to small animal companions wanting to travel.

In her spare time she loves trekking, reading, meeting her friends and baking cakes (to wind down after a busy day in theatre!). She has been living in Sutton for more than a decade with her family and rescue cat Yoko.

Ioana usually works Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Book your appointment to see wonderful Ioana.

Aurobind MRCVS

Aurobind qualified in 2020 at the University of Pretoria. Beginning work as a state vet in Makhanda, South Africa, Aurobind gained valuable surgical experience working in partnership with the SPCA, before launching a mobile primary healthcare clinic servicing impoverished communities in the region. In this capacity, Aurobind worked with a variety of species ranging from dogs and cats to goats, cattle, donkeys, and buffalo.

Aurobind moved to the UK in 2022 to pursue a role as a small animal practitioner with a keen interest in soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging.

When not in the surgical theatre, Aurobind enjoys hiking, theatre performances (the other kind), and cooking.

Head Nurse

Chantel

Chantel joined our lovely Sutton team in 2022.

Chantel qualified in 2009 as a veterinary nurse where she worked in a referral practice for 6 years, she then moved to work in two different veterinary charities for 10 years where she was a nurse team leader for 5 years.
In 2011 she gained a nurses certificate in animal behaviour.
Chantels interests are emergency care, internal medicine and canine behaviour.
She enjoys going for long walks, spending time with her family and travelling

Veterinary Care Assistant

Julia

Julia is a crazy pug lady, who dreamed as a child of being a vet. She went onto to get a degree in social rehabilitation and then pursued her dream of working in a Veterinary surgery. Her current role is as a Veterinary Care Assistant, but her ultimate goal is to train and qualify as a Veterinary Nurse

Out of work she spend enjoys spending time with her fiancé and pug Malinka (in the picture). She also likes psychology and dance.

Alison

Alison qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1997. She has had a varied career working for charity hospitals, emergency clinics, and most recently as the Head Nurse for a referral centre in Surrey.

She joined DNA Vetcare as an Area Manager in 2022, looking after our Elizabeth Street, Corner, Croydon, Mitcham, West Wickham & Wimbledon branches.

Outside of work she is a mum of two daughters and is kept busy helping her husband run a girls football team. She also has a houseful of rescue pets, that she fostered and who never left.

Veterinary Receptionist

Dawn

Dawn has been working in the veterinary world for 25 years with the last 20 years being at The Corner Vet,  getting to know and help a lot of local clients and their pets.In her spare time, Dawn spends most of it with her other half and her teenage daughter relaxing at home. She like to go to Holiday Parks when she has time, where she was taken growing up and where she met her partner.
